How It Works

Before booking your first appointment, there are a few important things you should be aware of:

  • All appointments are telehealth (virtual) only. You will need a working video camera to complete a full evaluation during your visit.

  • Licensing laws mandate that each patient must be physically present in one of the states I am licensed in during the visit. Click here for an up-to-date list of states.

  • Patients must be 18 years or older.

  • I do not provide general preventive care services or emergency care of any kind. I highly recommend all patients have a local primary care physician for these purposes.

  • Because I intermittently conduct visits from outside of the US, unfortunately I cannot prescribe controlled substances of any kind due to federal laws.

  • I cannot accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage beneficiaries due to federal CMS laws :(

  • I do not bill health insurance for our appointment costs due to the restrictions placed on patient care when working within the insurance-based system.

    • I provide sliding scale for all pricing options, and insurance may still be used to cover the cost of diagnostic testing, medications, medical equipment, and other in-network therapies or referrals.

    • A Superbill may be provided upon request to pursue insurance reimbursement for out-of-network costs. Many health share programs provide reimbursement for out-of-network providers like me.
